Parents are an integral part of Saint Pius X School. Our mission includes promoting the union of parent, teacher and child. Parental involvement is encouraged through the many volunteer opportunities that are available, some of these include: the school library, hot lunch program, parent tutors, PTO, and the Men’s Club. The generous donations of time and talents by our volunteers enable Saint Pius to be a “full-service school”. The lessons in Christian service that are taught to our young people cannot be provided to them in any better way!
A volunteer meeting is held at the beginning of the school year (see our on-line calendar under our News & Events page for more information), and you may contact the school office for further information on ways to get involved!
Parent Groups
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Saint Pius was formed to foster positive relationships among administration, staff, teachers, and parents of the School. Membership is open to any parent, legal guardian, or caregiver of a child enrolled in Saint Pius School interested in the development of youth at our school.
As a parish activity, the Men’s Club, specifically the Athletic Committee, supervises the sports programs. They oversee the hiring of coaches and the general policies under which the programs operate. It is through the tireless efforts of this group of men, that our athletic programs thrive!
Moms In Touch is a group of mothers who gather together weekly to pray for our children and our schools. Mary Bonnici can be contacted through the school office more information about this organization.
Latchkey Program
We offer on-site latchkey to assist working parents, with before and after school hours. This program is designed to provide a safe, caring atmosphere for children where they can enjoy activities, do homework, relax, and enjoy friends. Parents can be assured that while they are at work, a qualified, concerned, and Christian staff is caring for their children.
The morning program operates from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m., while the after school program runs from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.. A fee is charged on a “per child, per day” schedule. Click here for a form.
Hot Lunch Program
Hot lunch is offered every Wednesday for our children and teachers. The menu varies weekly, consisting of pizza or subs, cookies, munchies, and ice cream. Forms are sent home on Monday and returned on Tuesday for the following week's lunch order. This is also an excellent volunteer opportunity for school parents.
