Faith Formation Catechist

Faith Formation Symbol.jpg

To be a catechist is to hand on the faith to children. This ministry requires about one hour a week of preparation time and approximately 1 ½ hours a week in a faith formation session on Tuesday evenings. Catechists are encouraged to learn more about the ministry by attending free topic sessions and eventually to become certified by the Archdiocese of Detroit. Please call the Faith Formation Office at 734-284-6562.

Faith Formation Catechist Aid

Our volunteer aides assist the catechist in the classroom and at Mass. No formal training is required, only a love for children and the desire to share the faith so please call 734-284-6562.

R.C.I.A. is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. This rite is a faith journey that prepares unbaptized persons for the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation). It is also available to anyone baptized Catholic or in another Christian faith to prepare them to receive the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. These sacraments are celebrated on the Vigil of Easter. Anyone who wishes to learn about the Catholic faith is invited. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings from October thru May. Call: 734-284-6562.

R.C.I.C. is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children. For those children who are in need of sacraments call: 734-284-6562. The children will meet at a special time with the Director of Faith Formation. The sacraments are celebrated on the Vigil of Easter.
