Welcome, Thank you for taking the time to search out information about our school. My name is Fr. Bob McCabe, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve at St. Pius. We have an exceptional school that is dedicated to helping students thrive spiritually as well as academically. This indeed takes place thanks to the great team we have, beginning with our wonderful principal, and dedicated teachers and staff. The parents and extended families work together to help our students grow in a loving, faith filled, and joyful learning environment. It is clear to me that everyone realizes the importance of what we are doing.

Our youth have been given formative years where so much needs to be set in place:  knowledge, values, a strong Catholic identity, social skills and more. The responsibility is great, but so are the rewards. We at St. Pius X take seriously the words of Pope John Paul II, when he said, “The parish school is at the heart of the Church. For my part, I will do all I can to assure that your child or children will grow ever stronger if you choose to send them to St. Pius. I take seriously my role as a spiritual shepherd. I am in the school almost every day. We have an all-school Mass each week, and the students have the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent. I attend many of the sporting events. I even make a few baskets during halftime at our basketball games. I guess you could say we study, pray, and play well at St. Pius. So many adults I meet proudly share with me that they graduated from St. Pius Catholic School. They have fond memories, and it is clear that our school laid a solid foundation for their future education. They are men and women who continue to contribute and make a difference in our world today. St. Pius Catholic School will continue to touch profoundly the lives of all the students who attend our school.  In many ways our school is one big family. I hope you will be able to experience firsthand the gift that is St. Pius Catholic School. If you have any questions, please feel welcome to call me at 734-285-1100.

May the Lord always fill you with His peace and joy.

Message from Michelle Seward, School Principal

It is my pleasure to welcome all of you to our St. Pius Catholic School Website. It is such a joy to be in a community of family, friends, education and faith. Our talents and efforts are endless!

The primary goal of our school for all of our students is to develop academic excellence, a keen awareness of our Catholic faith and a maturing faith relationship with our Lord. This is no easy task and in order to reach this goal parents, teachers and students must each take their role seriously and with purpose. The parent’s role is to model, direct, support, encourage and love. The teacher’s role is to instruct, guide, enable and nurture. The student’s role is to be an active participant in work and service, a role model to others, offer prayer to our Lord, study and strive to achieve their highest potential. When we all commit to do all we can, the result will be a successful student in all aspects of growth — Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical and Emotional.

We thank you for joining us in preparing your child in the important task of leading them toward a successful future and a love for God and others. If you are a visitor to our website I hope you will enjoy exploring it and I extend an open invitation for you to call and come in and visit our school. I can be reached at 734-284-6500.

May we be blessed with God’s abundance!
